i knew a few jw children who were beaten by their parents for various non-performance issues e.g.

not remembering scriptures, not giving talks .... did this happen to you?.

Number of JW's on antidepressant medication & unemployment

in the congregations i attended more than 60% of the people i knew were on some type of antidepressant medication.

this rate seems much higher than "worldly" people i know/knew.

or perhaps witnesses are just more open about this topic?.

The target audience of the Witnesses are the "down trodden, depressed, beaten up, unhappy with Church, people running on empty" What do you think will happen, when these people find out, they did not join (Selling Point) "The Most Happiest People On Earth" but a group of men and women chasing their tails, people who talk about love, but don't know what it means. These people, if they were not on anti-depressants, will need them once the new wears off.

I have had my share of working with schizophrenics in field service, this was not very enjoyable nor entertaining.

i was wondering from any here in the know, does it seem like there is a lot of "remodels" going on?.

in the last week i had the occasion to talk with two jw's in different halls, about 10 miles apart.

they both are undergoing major remodels.

growing up as a jw born-in during the 1980s i distinctly remember cutting my tounge.

i was afraid to swallow my blood, thinking that if i even swallowed one drop i woudn't make it to the new system.

so i kept spitting the blood out.

When Someone You Love Is Removed As An Elder!

last week we lost a wonderful elder (removed, stepped down is what i will believe) , this man was as real, as you can get.

he loved the sheep,.

his eternal optimism of humanity is a rare quality in the jw religion.

I think he is going to be alright, his wife will realize their family is the most important unit. The good elders get "flushed" and the bad ones are "Cling-ons" those nasty sticky things, even a scrubby brush with Ajax, can't remove from the Toilet!

Who Knows The Exact Current Interpretation of "Generation" Please!

would someone please explain the current interpretation of the generation.

this topic is one that is causing alot of confussion and turmoil.

Thank you, for taking the time and researching the "Overlapping Generation", not a easy subject to understand or explain to young ones.

Our former C.O. had trouble explaining this, and on his second visit, he was complaining "You are all making a big fuss, over nothing! It's not

that hard to understand!" He tried again, with different illustrations, only to complain again, at the "Two Day Assembly" that we "need to be

loyal to the Organization and take the time to research this subject, if it is troubling us this much." I wonder if the Society knows how deep the

disagreement with their interpretation of the "Generation" runs, or if it's just ignored? This topic is not going away, so it might be revisted by the

Society. Great post written on this subject, thanks again!
